Portrait of Yashi Gupta

Yashi Gupta

Her life lesson is simple: the dots will connect.

She was #7 on the MICA waitlist.
The admissions office told her not to expect much.
The very next morning, every person ahead of her withdrew, seeming like a miracle.

That was just the beginning of Yashi Gupta's story. 🖤

That is her life in a single moment. Waiting, believing, and then watching destiny do exactly what she had quietly trusted it to do all along!

Yashi grew up in West Delhi, rooted in a family with Rajasthan in their blood and a Chartered Accountant father whose warmth and work ethic she absorbed from childhood. She chose commerce with maths in Class 12, discovered business studies, and felt something click. Marketing, not finance, not engineering, not the safer paths was what made sense to her. She pursued Bachelor of Management Studies at Shaheed Rajguru College, Delhi University, and threw herself into it completely.

Three years later, she published a research paper in an International journal, became President of the marketing society leading 80+ members, and helped conduct the first major marketing industry conclave at Delhi University. She also walked away with the Best Student award of her college.

Then her father passed away in 2023.

She took a year off. Grieved but stayed resilient. Prepared for MBA. And showed up again because that is what Yashi does. She scored a decent percentile in CAT, cleared MICA's unique three-stage entrance, and made it to the interview. But the waitlist happened anyway. Seven people ahead of her. Two months of waiting that she describes as something that really broke me. She prayed, kept going, and the next morning she got an admission call to be a MICAn.

Within MICA, registered on the last day of an ongoing competition, without knowing much about it, and secured 3rd position. That competition became her interview for RENÉE Cosmetics. In 2nd year, she took part again, and that became her interview for RSPL Group. Every dot connected. Every time.
Placements were their own test of patience. She started in October. Got placed in March. Company number twenty said yes after nineteen had not and that company was RSPL, one of India's most powerful FMCG giants. She joined the marketing team and has been building ever since.

Alongside all of this, she has quietly built a LinkedIn community of 22,000 people writing marketing lessons and personal reflections that no AI can replicate, because they come from someone who has actually lived them. She is now learning French, German, and guitar simultaneously.

Her life lesson is simple: the dots will connect. Not today, maybe not for months. But every struggle is building something you cannot see yet. Trust it. Give your best anyway. Show up because destiny rewards the ones who refuse to sit down and wait for it.

That is Yashi's story. 3 months into her first job, and just getting started.
